Weird Wine List

I used to be a big believer in social mobility, but it would appear that it is getting more and more difficult for people of disadvantaged backgrounds to climb the professional ladder.  Days where the Alan Sugars of the world could start with nothing and become a multimillionaire are, it would appear, gone and there doesn't seem to be any signs that this will change soon.  There have even been reports of three generations of the same family living in the same house due to the ever increasing cost of living, which is actually taking us back a hundred years rather than forward.

So if social mobility is dead in the water, I'm going to focus on cultural mobility.  Increasing a person's cultural awareness and bettering them.  Not being immune to this myself, I am going to start listening to classical music and learning more about it, and my second quest is to create a relevant link in food and wine matching for everyone.

I'll be creating wine lists and suggestions for a series of foods that everyone will eat at some time in their lives.  There is no point in suggesting a wine goes well with ortolan bunting when nobody will ever try it, but there is a relevance for supermarket ready meals, snack foods like pork pies and scotch eggs, crisps and, of course, McDonalds!  Here is where you find the weird wine list.
